I want to challenge YOU and myself!
To make this challenge fun, I want to award the winner.
Report your time used for each April shower and send it to me. April 30th, the winner with the lowest score will get a one-of-a-kind toiletry bag plus underwear and nightwear from my organic cotton collection.
Send your average score for April to; iben@ibenlea.com no later than April 30th
I HAVE A GUILTY PLEASURE; I love long, hot showers. But the truth is, Climate change threatens human well-being and planetary health. There is a rapidly closing window of opportunity to secure a liveable and sustainable future for all. By all, I mean our children, your children - my children. If we don't act and act now, our children will experience a temperature around 2,5 degrees higher at the end of this century. I don't even want to think about what that future will look like.
So what we need are disruptive changes.
According to the UNEPs" Emissions Gap Report" from 2020 are, 70% of the global emission directly connected to our lifestyle. In Denmark and Sweden, 30% of total energy use comes from our households. But to stay positive, you and I can disrupt these numbers by, for example, reducing the length of our hot shower.
Each minute you shower, 10 litres of heated water disappear out of your drain. Denmark reached its earth overshoot day on March 28th, and on April 3rd, Sweden will follow. This means that we have a lot of improvement to do together.
I encourage you and your friends to join my 3 minutes shower challenge for April to be a part of the solution.
To make this challenge fun, I want to award the winner.
How short can you make your shower and still feel you have time to wash your hair and do whatever you do to feel great?
I can't wait to see how far we can come together!
The choices and actions implemented in this decade will have impacts now and for thousands of years.
